Swavalamban

Swavalamban is a project of Bal Kalyan Sangh collaborates with Netherland Embassy which provides free of cost skill development training program for the girls of Jharkhand. The present scenario of the Jharkhand shows that most of the young girls of the interior area are trafficked to the metropolitan cities in search of work. The economically backward family who cannot effort the living cost of their children were sent their children to work in the other states to earn some money and support their family but most of the time fake placement agencies sell the children especially girls to the hotels, brothels, Massage parlours etc., (more…)

State Resource Centre (SRC) & Integrated Rescue cum Rehabilitation Centre (IRRC)

Bal Kalyan Sangh is running State Resource Centre at Ranchi and Integrated Resource-cum-Rehabilitation Centre (IRRC) project at New Delhi, supported by Jharkhand Women Development Society (JWDS),an autonomous body setup under ,Department of Women, Child Development & Social Security Government of Jharkhand. The objective of establishment of these two co-ordination centers is to facilitate rescue of victims, identification of survivors staying in various shelter homes of Delhi and coordination with local administration and other stakeholders to facilitate support services like medical examination, lodging of FIR, wage compensation, legal aid and ensure safe repatriation to home state. Swabhiman Balika

On 16th February 2019 Swabhiman Balika Program was organized by Bal Kalyan Sangh & ATSEC India at Dr. Ram Dayal Munda Tribal Research Institute, Ranchi. The agenda behind program was to launch the campaign for strengthening of the women empowerment schemes in Jharkhand. The Swabhiman Batiya campaign was launched on the day. The objective behind the campaign is to promote the “Mukhya Matri Sukanya Yojna” and aware the people about the issues like Child trafficking, Child Labour, Child marriage, Child abuse etc. In this campaign a bus equipped with pamphlets and posters of mentioned issues will running in the districts of Ranchi, Lohardaga, Khunti, Chaibasa, Gumla and Simdega to spread awareness among the community. Sakhi Samvaad

Sakhi samvaad programme was held on 11th March 2019 at Swabhiman Kendra, Bijupara, Ranchi to mark the International Women's Day of 8th March 2019. On this day the Chief Guest Shri. V. B. Pradhan, IPS, DG- Homeguard and Fire Brigade, GoJ addressed the women about women protection and self-safety. He also conducted the oath-taking ceremony of the Security Guard trainees of BKS who have successfully completed their training. Smt Kalyani Sharan, Chairperson, Jharkhand State Women Commission addressed the gathering of women and detailed them about rights of women and available govt. (more…)

Hamara Bachpan Hamara Adhikar Sakhi Bal Samvaad

The objective of both this programme was to address the issue of Human Trafficking, Child Labour and Child Protection in source areas of Jharkhand, to aware and sensitize the people and children of Jharkhand, to advocate with government to form better policies, to work on drop out issues in Jharkhand and to combat this issue from Jharkhand and finally to create livelihood opportunities in Jharkhand. BAL KUNJ

BALKUNJ serves as a residential home for children who are away from home and provide comprehensive child care facilities to children for ensuring their all round development. It is aimed at ensuring proper care, protection and contribution in overall development of children up to the age of 18 years. The Objective of the Children Home is to:
  • Provide Shelter, Proper Care and Protection to children living in difficult circumstances without parental care.
  • Provide shelter to those children whose case is pending before the Child Welfare Committee till final decision is made or restoration in family is ensured.
  • Coordination with JSCPS, DCPS, CWC and local Police for rescue, rehabilitation and providing institutional care to children living in difficult circumstances and vulnerable conditions.

Introduction of the Project The project aims to enhance the capacity of women and identified support groups on advocacy and lobbying to address violence against women and facilitating political participation of women at all levels of governance. Aaghaaz

Supported By: VSO India Introduction: “Aaghaaz” project has been launched in five cities of India as Patna, Lucknow, Bhubaneswar, Raipur and Ranchi with the support of VSO India Trust and Bharti Infratel Limited. In Ranchi Bal Kalyan Sangh (BKS) is Implementing partner of this project. Purpose/Objective: “Aaghaaz” project’s objective is to improve the livelihoods of 200 poor marginalized urban women through interpersonal, technical skill training and job placement. Its sub-objectives are:
  • Build confidence, leadership, interpersonal and other soft skills of 200 women through high-quality training sessions that are context-specific and gender-sensitive.
  • Build the capacity of 200 women on context-specific, market-driven technical skills through high-quality training.
  • Support and monitor the placements of 200 trained women in relevant employment, which is safe, secure and dignified (formal, a decent wage, good working conditions
