Breast Cancer Awareness Month: Health Awareness Campaign Across 14 Villages

In October, on the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, A special health awareness campaign was organised across 14 villages, reaching out to nearly 985 women. The initiative aimed to empower rural women with essential knowledge about breast cancer prevention, early detection, and healthy living.

Empowering Women Through Awareness

The sessions focused on helping women understand the early signs and symptoms of breast cancer. Participants were educated about:

  • Identifying unusual lumps or thickening in the breast

  • Changes in breast size or shape

  • Unusual discharge or alterations in skin texture

  • The significance of early detection in improving treatment outcomes

Through interactive demonstrations, women learned the importance of regular self-examinations and periodic health checkups, which play a crucial role in timely diagnosis and care.

Promoting Holistic Health

Beyond cancer awareness, the campaign emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced diet, regular exercise, and a healthy lifestyle to strengthen overall well-being. The sessions also addressed mental health, encouraging open conversations and positive health-seeking behavior among women.

Building Healthier Rural Communities

This impactful initiative marked a significant step toward improving women’s health awareness and quality of life in rural communities. By spreading knowledge and encouraging proactive health habits, the organization continues to foster a future where every woman feels informed, confident, and cared for.
